The following information was supplied by the City of Goose Creek Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Sleepwalking DUI?

Officers arrived at the parking lot at 115 Etiwan Drive around 8 a.m. on Sept. 4 to find a vehicle collision and the suspect asleep in the driver's seat. His pick-up truck had allegedly hit a Porsche, but the suspect didn't know how he got there. The man told police that the last thing he remembered was going to bed the night before after taking medication.

Police were called out to Hounds Run Apartments on Sept. 5 in response to an alleged domestic dispute. An officer found a couple yelling at each other.

The husband told police that his wife took his cologne and razor from the bathroom and threw them over the fence in the backyard. The wife argued that it was in retaliation for her husband destroying all of her adult toys.

The husband told police that he didn't do anything with her toys and didn't know where they were. The officer suggested that the two not speak with each other for the remainder of the day.

Gas Cap Mischief

Some tomfoolery at Coventry Green Apartments worried more than two dozen residents last weekend. Officers came out to the complex at 3:30 a.m. on Sept. 4 when a concerned motorist found gas caps open on nearby vehicles.

An officer walked the parking lot and found the gas caps on 29 cars had been opened. But a closer inspection found no evidence that any of the tanks had been tampered with. There was no spilled gasoline from siphoning or any evidence of any materials being poured into the gas tanks.

Put Down the Phone

After pulling over a car that had allegedly just been stolen from Shannon Park Apartments, officers noted that the driver stuck his hands out the drivers side window.

He was likely trying to show that he was unarmed, but the police report notes that he wasn't empty handed: He was still holding on to his cell phone.

The suspect was charged with driving with a suspended license, but the victim refused to press charges for taking her car.
