A Hanahan K-9 unit, along with a deputy and a Goose Creek officer, tracked a scent through the Briarwood subdivision, down a power line easement toward Lighthouse Drive. The trail reportedly ran cold behind Harbour Lake Baptist Church.
Body armor was also reportedly found near the victims' home.
A Post and Courier report Tuesday noted the neighborhood isn't prone to violence. "It's very quiet," 16-year resident Richard Malone told the paper.
