Man Charged in Alleged Tire Iron Assault
$10,000 bond in Woodland Heights incident.
A suspect remains in custody on charges of first degree assault and battery from an incident earlier this week in the Woodland Heights community.
William Christopher Glenn, 26, of Red Cedar Drive, is accused of hitting another man twice with a tire iron on Sunday afternoon. Glenn is being held on a $10,000 bond.
Officers were called to a Pine Ridge Drive home where the victim told police he'd been struck. A witness said she saw Glenn hit the victim and a second witness claimed he saw Glenn walking nearby with the tire iron.
Glenn allegedy told police that he tossed the tire iron into the woods behind his home. An initial search for tire iron was unsuccessful.
Police noted that the victim showed signs of swelling on his forearm, where he claimed to have been struck.
