Obituary: Mary Jane Ventanilla, Rockabilly Hall of Fame Member

Mary Jane Ventanilla, 70, of Goose Creek, wife to Rudy F. Ventanilla, passed away December 5, 2012.

Born in Memphis, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late, James and Mary Lazenby. During her childhood she and her sister Jean had two records produced as the Lazenby Twins. They were inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame. Jane enjoyed making earrings and necklaces. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Ventanilla was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Filipino Travelers of Charleston.

She is survived by her husband of forty five years, Rudy Ventanilla, four daughters, Janice Browder and husband Wayne, Faye Christianson, Bobbi Jo Lawton and Lisa Hall and husband Perry; two sisters, Dolly Skelton and Jean Foster; three brothers, Jerry Lazenby, Jimmy Lazenby and Don Lazenby. Mrs. Ventanilla is also survived by eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Monday, December 10, 2012 at 11 a.m. in Fort Jackson National Cemetery, Columbia, S.C.
