As we get closer to kick-off, the prognostications continue for the fate of the State Championship Goose Creek Gators. Now, Rivals.com has put its list together of top high school teams in the nation. And the Gators are at No. 30.

"Goose Creek will likely not be tested as its region foes will provide little resistance, if any, during the regular season," the rankings note. "The team is better than last season, but by how much will be hard to quantify."
Among S.C. expectations, Goose Creek topped the High School Sports Report rankings in June. An SCVarsity.com poll in July put the Gators at No. 2.
