Smoking Ban Discussion and More on This Week's Agendas

What councils and committees will be discussing.

Goose Creek City Council will be holding a special workshop at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. The meeting will be in Council Chambers, 519 N. Goose Creek Blvd.

It will be the first discussion of a citywide smoking ban. Earlier this month, Charleston County enacted its own smoking ban for unincorporated areas, creating a penalty for businesses that allow smoking indoors, including the potential loss of their business license.

The council will also interview candidates for an opening on the Planning Commission. Candidates include Connie Myers, Jason Dillard, Darrell Williams, Gerald Stinson and Chris Plott.
