The Goose Creek Fire Department recently released its report on May fire and EMS calls.
There were 194 fire calls in May, compared with 182 during the same month in 2011. For 2012, we're slightly ahead of where we were last year.
The city's EMS responded to 209 calls, compared with 203 in May, 2011. But the total for 2012 is running slightly lower than last year.
The average fire response time in May was 5:05. The average response time for EMS was 5:35.
