White House: SC, Others Cannot Secede

A petition with nearly 30,000 signatures to allow the Palmetto State to withdraw from the United States has been denied.

ST. ANDREWS, SC -- There will not be a second or peaceful secession from the Union.

A petition before the White House to allow South Carolina to peacefully secede from the United States was denied Friday by the White House

Nearly 30,000 people had signed the petition, and similar petitions in eight other states, including Georgia, North Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, Louisiana, Florida and Texas. Also denied was a petition to deport everyone who had signed a similar petition.

In the White House's response to all 10 petitions, and titled "Our States Remain United," spokesman Jon Carson wrote:

Thank you for using the White House's online petitions platform to participate in your government.

In a nation of 300 million people -- each with their own set of deeply-held beliefs -- democracy can be noisy and controversial. And that's a good thing. Free and open debate is what makes this country work, and many people around the world risk their lives every day for the liberties we often take for granted.

But as much as we value a healthy debate, we don't let that debate tear us apart.

Our founding fathers established the Constitution of the United States "in order to form a more perfect union" through the hard and frustrating but necessary work of self-government. They enshrined in that document the right to change our national government through the power of the ballot -- a right that generations of Americans have fought to secure for all. But they did not provide a right to walk away from it. As President Abraham Lincoln explained in his first inaugural address in 1861, "in contemplation of universal law and of the Constitution the Union of these States is perpetual." In the years that followed, more than 600,000 Americans died in a long and bloody civil war that vindicated the principle that the Constitution establishes a permanent union between the States. And shortly after the Civil War ended, the Supreme Court confirmed that "[t]he Constitution, in all its provisions, looks to an indestructible Union composed of indestructible States."

Although the founders established a perpetual union, they also provided for a government that is, as President Lincoln would later describe it, "of the people, by the people, and for the people" -- all of the people. Participation in, and engagement with, government is the cornerstone of our democracy. And because every American who wants to participate deserves a government that is accessible and responsive, the Obama Administration has created a host of new tools and channels to connect concerned citizens with White House. In fact, one of the most exciting aspects of the We the People platform is a chance to engage directly with our most outspoken critics.

So let's be clear: No one disputes that our country faces big challenges, and the recent election followed a vigorous debate about how they should be addressed. As President Obama said the night he won re-election, "We may have battled fiercely, but it's only because we love this country deeply and we care so strongly about its future."

Whether it's figuring out how to strengthen our economy, reduce our deficit in a responsible way, or protect our country, we will need to work together -- and hear from one another -- in order to find the best way to move forward. I hope you'll take a few minutes to learn more about the President's ideasand share more of your own.

They pointed out SC in this article because this is a SC news site. And it wasn't "50 states filed a petition" -- it was a few attention-starved folks who live off the internet, and who "filed" these on the White House site on their days off from school.

It does not reflect on SC (or me) individually. Yes, some from SC attempted to do the same on the same White House, but many from SC also signed the makeshift petition to deport those rebound rebels.

Hmmm, our 535 lustrously voted members of the United States Congress submit, vote on, and pass hundreds of new laws each year. Now lets look at their record; 36 have been accused of spousal abuse, 7 have been arrested for fraud, 19 have been accused of writing bad checks, 117 have, directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses, 3 have done time for assault, 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit, 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges, 8 have been arrested for shoplifting, 21currently are defendants in lawsuits, and 84 have been arrested for drunk driving. Now, lets look at a business that has been around since the beginning of man that the Government seized. It was the Mustang Ranch Brothel in Nevada for tax evasion and as required by law, they tried to run the business and make a profit. It eventual failed and closed. Now the government wants us to entrust to them the economy of our country, banking system, auto industry, the failing social security, health care plans, gun laws, and worse yet, redesigning or changing 2nd Amendment to keep us safe? If they couldn’t make money running a whore house while selling whisky, and they can’t follow the laws of our nation they voted upon, why do we keep them in office? It can’t be a matter of trust, or could it? (sarcasm)………

Well, Barry - I'll hardly be one to defend congress, but---- you're using total numbers from over 100 congressional sessions as reported by a questionable source. That's made very clear by your mention of the Mustang Ranch, which was a wild rumor from early 2008, and which was laughed at from that point on. http://urbanlegends.about.com/od/government/a/mustang_ranch.htm BTW? There's nothing going against the 2nd amendment, either.

No I didn't "get what I voted for". I cerainly didn't vote for a liar for President, a man who ignores the Consitiution and passes Executive Orders on anything he wants, who taxes and spends without regard to the welfare of the country that so stupidly re-elected him. I most assuredly did not vote for amnesty for illegals, higher taxes, gun control, a tyrannical healthcare bill or any of the other things that Obama and Congress are doing. If enough states could secede we might be able to reform as a United States that was again Of, By and For the people. Not for the government.

Um, Reagan hasn't been president in quite a long time, Roger. That's the president who gave amnesty to illegal aliens, who rose taxes on an overwhelming majority of the population, and who supported gun control (although on and off again).

as for Obama, there's been no amnesty to illegal aliens --- in fact, we've had consecutive record setting years for deportation of illegal aliens since he took office. We've had temporary tax cuts (which could be even more for the middle class, were it not for House GOP tying it up because they didn't want folks who make over $400,000 to have to pay more than their already lowest-on-the-planet taxes).

And in the healthcare act that you call "tyrannical," a Democratic senator added a clause that protects legal gun owners more than before. And can you name for me any restriction Obama has brought on guns? THERE ISN'T A SINGLE ONE.

As for healthcare act being "tyrannical," -- it was tyrannical *without it*. When hospitals and doctors didn't collect from uninsured patients, they've been legally allowed to add their charges on to our (insured) medical bills - same way that when you buy a gallon of milk from the store, you're also paying for the chewing gum some kid stole from the checkout line earlier that day. Those fees were then tagged onto our insurance (about $720 of your annual insurance premium must go to pay other people's medical bills).

I think you need to get your facts straight, bud.

Once your body dies, you will not have anymore chances to receive God's free gift of eternal life through Christ Jesus. a big mistake, WH...let SC secede. there are many advantages to our country...eg, a credit for the fed budget, SC gets more from the fed than it pays in fed taxes...of course the fed would have to deny SC any foreign aid.

would be interesting to hear what the SC secessionists see as advantages to SC...no BO-care maybe...spending time in ER would give them sumthin to do while planning an attack on ft sumter...

We really should let states secede where a majority of their people vote in favor of it. These states are already drag on the federal budget forthe rest of the country, taking in more than they receive and adding to the deficit. Of course, they woul have to set up their own military, but that should not be a problem with all of the gun fetishists these states contain. Of course they would lose all federal installations, and have to pay the US back to acquire the property, etc. Federal installations would close, and the jobs would come back to the real US. They are like a dog chasing a car. What would would the dog do if it actually caught the car?

That says a lot about how intelligent they are (not).

I would like to see what posts you are seeing. Because I found more errors in posts made by Reg then any others. Starting with his reply to Elwood in a very condesending, mocking way that made himself sound more illiterate then any other post in this disscussion be eaither side. And to make his point, he gives a link that says "Page not found". I suppose this to mean that his point "cannot be found" How about everyone quit condesending and making general statments and play nice. Not everyone in the south are as you put it, 'Neanderthals' and not everyone in the north are assholes.

Wow, this is actually a non-story since NOBODY believed SC would, or could, secede. And the online petition was only signed by a small percentage of the residents of the state, a lunatic fringe so to speak. Signing some else's petition is not really a movement, Grover Norquist being the exception.

Yet, it has attracted 46 comments in a little over 12 hours. Some of these comments indicate the writers are actually serious about the topic! Some seriously disdainful, some seriously angry, some simply serious. But it still is not going to happen, and no one ever thought it would either.

Why do people keep saying SC wants to do this and do that? I live in SC and do not and never had supported seperation fom the United States of America. The last I checked we had far more residents of SC who did NOT sign this petition. The above headline could and should have read that the majority of SC does not want to secede from the USA. It just does not seem right that people believe such a small minority is speaking for an entire state.

South Carolina was 1st to vote to join the Confederacy, and 1st to vote to secede from the Union. Surprise, surprise. A hand full of spoiled kids sign a petition because they aren't getting their way, and it' news. Let Texas secede....and when the Mexican druglords are making Texas their bitch, don't run to Uncle Sam. The advent of social media and blogs has really put a spotlight on a number of unwell people amidst decent folks. The people who are signing petitions to secede would wet themselves if they awaken tomorrow with the strength, wisdom, and greatness of these United States backing their moves. Really. SC leaving these United States is not going to happen but the politicians in SC need stop fanning this kind of lunacy. And the hate speech on this blog is so 1960's. Hello, its 21st century. Hate is a poor commodity to trade in these days, and God really doesn't like ugly!

As someone once famously said during the first bout of secessionitis: 'South Carolina is too small for a republic and too large for an insane asylum'. I think that statement sums it up as nicely now as it did in 1860. It was lunacy that led to unspeakable tragedy across the board for the country, for nearly every family, for immigrants hoping for a new life in a new land and harsh, barren and wasted land. Not to mention the legacy of the KKK that grew out of it, 100 years of Jim Crow and the still sensitive memories it's unspeakable horrors still hold for our country. United we stand, Divided we fall. Don't repeat faulty history in the name of overflamed passions as our ancestors did in the grip of madness.

Hey, I've traveled around a bit and really have not seen any other country that I would want to live in other than the U.S. It seems to me that our enemies (especially those foreign countries that don't like us) are looking at us and how we are acting up, hoping, and praying for something that just will not happen. What is that, you might ask? Well, our enimies cannot defeat us, so their hope is this: Let the American destroy themselves from within. In fact, I would not be surprised if, by investigation, it was found out that people who look like us, act like us, and walk amongst us and participate in our anti government rallies, yell anti-Obama slogans, and constantly talk "down" America are NOT Americans. Some of these pockets of people are placed here to infiltrate our ranks to try to do what, you might ask again? To try to defeat America from within. Remember this: All who agree with you and your anti-American causes, may not be WITH you at all. They are acting under another agenda. Be vigilant.

I agree, Horace. There are many hoping for a new Fall of Rome, and who are hoping to help it fall, too. Those are the ones who are trying to knock our country back a few centuries to the plutocratic serfdom their ancestors knew so long ago (and which our ancestors came here to escape). Add in their Marxian Economics principles, and it stands evident that the GOP and its followers are anything but American.

What we have in those signatures on the petitions (and I'm sure the White House concurs) are people with ZERO knowledge of economics, governing, military protection, etc (and that's just being very general) who fly off the handle making impulsive and irrational decisions simply because they are mad that their presidential candidate lost. President Obama is committed to Bill Clinton's world order by opening up the borders and forcing honest Americans to support the freeloaders who have every excuse not to work but want all the benefits the average American gets by working for those benefits. The petitions are nothing more than a weathervane showing where this country is going and that when the federal government turns around they are going to find an angry mob of U.S. citizens waiting to revolt. Why do you think Obama has to restrict or eliminate Americans right to weapons and self defense. It won't be the Military services that will attack us but the civilian federal people he is arming now under the Patriot Act signed by Bush. Bush was dumb enought to sign teh Patriot Act for all the wrong reasons and obama is going to abuse it under Eric holder. There is a sickening aroma in the air that is beginning to permeate the very soul of independent, freedom embracing Americans. It began to originate long before the shooting at Aurora, Colorado, or recently in Newtown, Connecticut. Its rancid fragrance seeps into the fabric of the U.S. Constitution and is emitted by the control terrorists who manipulate the facts and perceptions of Americans who watch the news. These purveyors of stricter gun control measures seek to erode your defenses so that in your weakened state you will accept their sweet smelling tyranny.

The nation that was represented as a symbolic shining city on a hill that President Ronald Reagan spoke about over 30 years ago, is now becoming a broken mud hole of shattered dreams. America’s morning that has dawned over the nation is now bearing witness to the shredding of constitutional protections which have safe guarded families since the infancy of the republic. Obama has given the order to Vice President Biden: full steam ahead to obliterate gun rights to your town. You and your family are the targets and what will you do?

The reaction by gun owners and even prospective gun owners to Obama’s desperate zeal is to hurry up and buy up all the potential guns and now-legal weapons that might be taken by edict or by force by the government. That may be a solution, but it is only a temporary one.

Once the federal government has quenched its thirst on stripping away gun rights, it will not hesitate to take the next step to criminalize actual possession of banned weapons!

Then what will you do? What is the response to a government that embraces tyrannical rule over the constitutional guarantees and protections contained within the U.S. Constitution? What are you, the father, the mother, the son or the daughter prepared to do when, the government official, acting on direct orders from a new commission set up by President Obama to confiscate your guns, knocks at your door?

Where are the defenders of the U.S. Constitution who are elected in Congress? Are you absolutely certain they will not give in, and knuckle under Obama’s determination which is aided by the mainstream media talking heads? Remember these are the same talking heads that avoided Obama’s dismissive behavior in not enforcing congressional legislation. This is the same mainstream media that buried the White House Benghazi murder cover up as if it never happened. Think about your choices when seeking to rely upon the fourth estate which is has been rendered a useless patsy for the Obama administration.

Now, do you really believe that once your guns are banned, and the weapons that were grandfathered, will not be taken in the second round of gun control legislation?

The War for Independence initially began with a flurry of gunshots which rang out in Boston on March 5, 1770, and there Americans drew the line in the sand against British imperialism and tyranny. The first to die, Crispus Attucks, a Blackman, and the 20 others with him had sticks and clubs, and the British soldiers had guns. Obviously sticks and clubs were not match, then nor are they now.

and what exactly is "Obama's determination"?

Jerry Wondergem

John Hancock, one of the nation’s founding father spoke of that legendary heroic moment, by urging, “for a well-regulated militia of the whole people who would fight “for their liberty, and for themselves, and for their God.”

Unfortunately, for the tragic victims of Newtown, Connecticut, the government in Washington, has decided to disarm its citizens by using the very laws that Hancock and other founding fathers fought so desperately for. Instead, Obama, Biden and gun control mayors like New York City’s Michael Bloomberg, continuously assault the U.S. Constitutional Second Amendment rights. They work to manipulate this tragedy to lead a sustained assault on freedom of defense against tyranny.

The goal of the gun control activists is clear. They use their partnership with the mainstream media to paint a portrait of tragedy across the television screens of America’s living rooms and blame guns as the cause. They seek to nurture, cajole, neutralize or tempt Americans with the notion that guns created the havoc, and misery and tragedy that befell the victims.

The victimizers who pulled the trigger and who designed the loathsome events are never held to account for any responsibility in perpetrating the heinous deeds. The incredulousness of this rationale defines logic. Taken to a logical conclusion, you would have to think the gun trigger actually forced the assassins to pick up the weapon and pull the trigger.

America, if you fall victim to this criminalization of your own legal rights, then the forces of Obama and his socialist tyranny have already won half of the battle.
These next few weeks, should not just be a wait-and-see-what-will-happen-in-Washington-D.C. interval. This has to be a time where you, the defender of your house, your home, your castle, embrace the belief that true representation begins in your home, not in Washington, D.C.

Each American must first determine for yourself, that you are ready to speak to your neighbor, your family member, your co-worker, or your friend, and ask, “What are you prepared to do, to hold your congressman or woman responsible?”

The congress cannot pass a law unless both houses pass the legislation to begin stripping your rights and the President signs it. If Obama tries to use an executive order to do it, then demand it be overridden and demonstrate until it is overridden!

The Second War of Independence is not when you begin to see the Obama gun control brigade at your door, it begins when you decide to do nothing, and just let it happen.

Hey Jerry: When you watch a nature film from Africa you will probably see the killing of an antelope by a pride of lions. Once the lions are done eating, the vultures swarm in to finish off the carcass. This, at least to me, is clearly all of this rhetoric and public outrage and political crap that is going on now. This federal government and the liberal talking heads and politicos are nothing more than vultures feeding off the carcasses of 20 little children. There are areas where you can address serious deficiencies in our gun laws(straw purchases, undocumented private purchases) but, unfortunately, I do not, in any way shape or form, trust this federal government--it is run by a narcissistic lying moslem fascist and his minions who include a host of people who just make me want to gag. There is no way I trust them to address anything related to firearms without an end game that is disarming the citizenry. I am a Jew. I am not a sheep. I will not be like fellow Jews in Germany who loved their country and were too stupid to realize who their fascist leader and his government were all about--they were sheep and they were disarmed and they were slaughtered. I will not be a sheep. I will send someone to hell before I go to heaven.

Only when one is in agreement with God and his word does one live and speak the truth. All else is from the devil. The real battle is not flesh against flesh; it is evil against good, righteousness against un-righteousness. The battlefield is the mind; it takes place in the mind of each and everyone of us and the devil loves it when you believe the lies and when good people do nothing to fight evil.

Jay Carney should pay attention to and let everyone in Washington know the line about government being by the people, for the people, "for all people" to it does not mean we govern by executive orders or make laws without the participation of all members in Congress. We do not need government to tell us what is good for us or try to save us from ourselves. The people need to be respected by this administration not treated like we were born yesterday. We have a government who has actually broken the law and will continue to break the law as long as they go unchecked. Where is the legislative group, who enforces the laws and where are they? Government is not being run as our forefather had intended. With all of the self interest of the current administratve group is it any wonder states want to pull out of the union.

William, this administration is no different than any that preceded it, with the exception of the Bush boys. They have been part of a conspiracy to move our government toward a corporatocracy. Bush I let Saddam Hussein know it would be okay to invade Kuwait. Then put together a coalition to drive him out. Why? To diminish his power in the middle East. He didn't need to go after Hussein. Bush II didn't see it that way. All that oil in Iraq just waiting to be taken over by the Bush family oil companies. He got Cheney to lie, after Cheney had set up the strike on America on 9-11-01, saying Hussein had WMD's. All bullshit but it got us into war on two fronts. The bin Laden family have been business partners with the Bush family for years. The bin Laden family threw Osama out of Egypt for his political activism. So now you have a reason why Osama was the scapegoat for 9-11. But dig back a little deeper and you see W's grandfather. He was a NAZI sympathizer and helped them with obtaining oil for their war machine. The Koch brother's grandfather also helped the NAZI regime. Two of the most influencial families, one of which sponsors the KKK and who's father was a founding member of the John Birch Society.

Stop playing the race card; it's people like you who have kept racism alive. Again, I pray for your souls sake that you will wise up. As far as being a Christian country you are mistaken and clueless. Our founding Christain fathers like all true Christians never push God onto people; we share Him and His Word through Love. That's why the constitution includes the FREEDOM OF RELIGION. If we were a Muslim nation as an example, the citizens would be forced to believe the religion and would be either treated as low lifes or murdered(I have done extensive study into most religions and spent 5 years in a State prison living amongst Muslims; so I know what I am talking about---didn't read that experience in no book nor watched it on no T.V.). The wise old adage, "Be careful what you ask for..." applies here.

Do those who want to secede realize they'd have to give up participation in all "National (football/baseball/hockey) League," or the "American (football/baseball/hockey) League," or need passports to visit neighboring states?
Or pay Tariffs on goods manufactured in Ohio, New York, or any other state that stays in the Union? Or benefit from the Federal Emergency Management, should they suffer a "National" disaster? Or give up your states entrance into the Miss America Pageant? Do you want your state expelled from NASCAR? Oh.... the horror!!!
Think through the consequences, my friends, about the price you'd pay for NOT being in the United States.

Racism lives in America and it's not just in the south but these morons that signed the petitions only want the black man out of the White House. They want a white, gun toting, wife beating society. Well, except for the white aspect, they could move to Somalia where everyone carries a gun, including the children, wife beating is a sport and capitalism is rampant with piracy on the high seas as the main occupation and kidnapping a way to fund their fun. The ones that want secession can move there and hate all the blacks they want. I, for one, would like to see how that works out for them.

Any State can Secede from the Union It does not need Federal Permission OR Authority. Unless you have Coastline, your secession will not be successful. Actually, Texas is the only State that could truly secede and survive. They have their entirely own, independent power grid, they have oil and natural gas, and they have coastline. They actually, do not need the rest of America to survive.

For all the morons that seem to beleive that because President Obama is catagorized as Black they coveiniently over look the fact that his mother was white ! There are a greate many tuely Blacks in this country that despise the fact that Obama uses his skin color as a racist shield ! It is not his skin color or his fathers ethnicity but his idiology that brings out the overwhelming dislike and distrust of him and his Cabal ! The obama administrion knows they can continue to win in its battles with Congress and the Supreme Court because they seem to think the will of the people to fight through their representatives has very little back bone ! If we do not insist on preserving our constitutional rights this nation we have known and that has been the shining light of freedom through out the world will be unrecognisable in a few short years !

NDAA was put together by the House of Representatives, dominated by war hawks in the Teathuglikkkon party. In order to fund the military and it's contractors the president had to assure none of the war hawks could take down American citizens without his express approval. That's why HR 1032 in in it, to assure the House can't use HR 1031 against us. Constitutional rights. Please let me know what rights, based on the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, the Amendments to the Constitution that are being taken away by the POTUS?

Believe me, IF any state is allowed to secede, it will soon be a very large state as everyone who is dissatisfied with Obama and the mess he has made will relocate there! AND, if that state sets itself up as "one State under God," it will be one great prosperous state. When that happens, I'll be moving, that's for sure!

It will be a state that's practically empty. Of course, this notion is the kooky concept of one with an IQ of a slug, and will never happen, but if it did .... that state would be closed. No interstate commerce; no transportation in or out; it would be shut down and made to look like a village chock full of idiots.

Some of you arrogant and mentally inept people from states not in the South, should take time to see where the money for running the national government came from. South Carolina would NOT be a "third world country" because it was a part of a Confederacy that kept the federal government in the black! How about the fact that MOST revenue came from the South to Northern dependants through the "federal government?? READ an HONEST HISTORY of America and stop deluding yourselves about the REAL South!

Then you should concentrate you focus on Richard Cheney, George W. Bush, Donald Rumsfeld and others privvy to Operation Pearl Harbor. Mr. Cheney set up a "Pearl" for "the Old Man" because Bush wanted to go after Saddam Hussein. He felt daddy didn't finish the job. Mr. Rumsfeld "lost" 2.3 TRILLION dollars from the DoD. Lost it. "Gee, even MY paycheck is off occassionally." Bush went to Florida so he didn't have to be in Washington when the plane arrived. What plane? Why, the only one carrying passengers that was shot down by Cheney. The other military planes painted up to look like passenger liners are what hit the trade center and those are the only other planes used. The thing that hit the Pentagon, you remember that newly reinforced structure that needed to be tested just in case something like this happened, was hit by a cruise missle. A plane would not have mae a hole that small and would have left behind something. No engines, no luggage, no seats, he human remains except those that just happened to be in that section at the time., If you really wish for proof I have it and will be glad to share it. Contact me on Facebook or on AOL or continue to believe the bullshit the government shoved down our throats.

Then, Chistine, may I suggest a country that has no government, is in constant civil war, everyone carries a weapon including the children. The only downside for you would be they are allowed to beat women and they're all black. Somalia seems like just the place for those who wish to secede from my country.

History has shown us that the careless misuse of legislative power will have long term—and in many cases irreversible—consequences for the United States of America. Federal legislatures that are managed without caution and respect for our governing principles always create social and economic havoc in our Republic. Now Presidential executive orders are becoming a tolerated misuse of authority and if they are not challenged by the people we will find our rights to redress will vanish in the blink of an eye.

Note: America is and always has been a REPUBLIC, not a democracy. History don't lie.

Presidential executive orders have their place in directing the operations of our Executive Branch. In times of real crisis they allow responsible Presidents—Presidents who take their oaths of office seriously—the authority to temporarily address emergencies when swift action is necessary to protect the American people. Today our constitutional republic is being threatened by the maniacal overuse of this Presidential privilege. Overuse by a man, Barrack Hussein Obama, who willingly ignores the crises created by past government overreach while insisting that his overreach is the only answer to our nation’s problems.

If history shows us anything, it is that government interference is the prevailing catalyst for national crisis. With our elected legislators effectively removed from the governing process and replaced by a media driven national agenda—an agenda that unabashedly supports un-American activities—our nation will, one day soon, experience a crisis of a magnitude not felt since the Civil War.

By statute, Presidential executive orders must be legally enforceable and constitutionally correct. A President that issues orders contrary to the U.S. Constitution is in violation of his oath of office and becomes a threat to the document he is sworn to protect. No authority exists to enforce an unconstitutional executive order, yet there is historical precedent confirming there toleration by our government and our citizenry. Roosevelt’s executive order which led to the internment of Japanese, German, and Italian Americans during WWII serves as one example of such an executive order. Over 150,000 American citizens imprisoned to satisfy the national security concerns of a country at war.

In case we have forgotten, the President was not elected to fix problems that don’t exist. In part, he was elected to steward the repair of our broken economy, reform Washington and unite Americans. I think it’s fair to say that every elected representative in Washington was elected with the same rationale in mind. So why is our government focusing on the manufactured crisis of escalating gun violence instead of the real problems created by their historical overreach?

Because they are afraid.

Our government knows that there is no simple solution on the horizon for our mounting debt and exploding poverty levels. By their own estimations, it will not be long before our economy deteriorates and government confiscation of wealth and property becomes the norm. In the end, the poor will be sacrificed first and the rest of us will follow.

Gun violence—much like the fictitious affordable housing shortages of the 90’s—is not at crisis levels in the United States. The real crisis in America, the next bubble that will burst one day, is the President and Legislative branch’s overstepping of their authority and the endemic betrayal of their oaths of office; betrayals that have led to our current national predicament. Americans are now anxious of what things lie in wait around the corner. Things that our government conveniently forgets to warn us about.

Today, Americans acting within the spirit of the 2nd Amendment are depleting firearms inventories at historic levels. Real and growing fear of tyranny is forcing many Americans to consider violent defense of their person and property from a government that grows more adversarial with each careless executive order issued by an untrustworthy and radical President. Now is the time to protest our government’s intrusion on our liberty. Waiting for fate to knock at our doors will only lead to deaths and more loss of freedom.

The electorate must begin to organize and march on Washington and our states capitols with our demands for redress. Not once or twice, but as often as necessary until our government is forced to bend to our legitimate legal requests. We must demand investigations, prosecutions and convictions for the misuse of power that we have willingly and blindly endured. We do have recourse in America and it should not have to be defended by violent acts of revolution.

Americans must begin to develop the courage to say “No!” to forced participation in bad legislation and illegal Presidential proclamations. We can no longer afford to wait for our Judiciary to decide what laws should be enforced. We know better. We just need to show them that we do. And that doesn’t always require armed confrontation. In most cases it simply requires an ideological show of force. We have the right to redress.

So let me get this straight..... your feel the black man in the White House is taking away your rights? Really? You call for a march on Washington and, because of the previous comments about the president you obviously didn't elect but the vast majority of Americans did, you are obviously talking about marching on the White House. Would that be with those guns he's trying to take away from you? The POTUS has the right to make certain proclamations. It's why he's president. It was written into the Constitution and the Amendments to the Constitution. So perhaps you should take your AK Penis extension somewhere that won't bother you about it. Somalia allows guns. They've no government, it's every person for themselves. Everyone carries a gun, even the children. You can even beat your wives and girl friends and who cares if you happen to kill some. Just leaves more food for you. They even have a thriving capitalistic system, it's called piracy and kidnapping. You'll fit right in..... oh wait, you're white, right? That might be a stumbling block since it's a predominately black country.

There is a video making the rounds on the Internet of a Florida woman, Angel Adams, who, two years ago, was living in a single motel room with twelve of her fifteen children fathered by three different men. She is presently pregnant with her sixteenth.

The original NBC report has only now, two years later, received widespread attention.

In the video, Adams says that the community has been helping her out by donating food, and the Department of Children and Families said that they helped Adams by paying her rent and buying furniture for her.

But Adams appears in the video to be ungrateful for all the help she had received (which, in my opinion, was too much).

“Somebody–needs to pay–for alllll my children,” she says sternly, sweeping her arm in a wide, flat arc over the room, indicating her kids running around, “and my and Gary [her imprisoned fiancé]–all our suffering, alllll our pain–somebody needs to be held accountable and they need to pay.”

She makes a fine argument. I once went drag-racing with a rental car. The road was slick with ice and I crashed. The car was totaled. And worse, now I had no car! So I had the gnarled wreckage towed back to the car-rental place and told them that somebody needs to be held accountable, somebody needs to pay me for a new rental.

The car-rental place didn’t seem to agree, apparently having little in common with the federal government, and I was forced to pay for the choice I made to drive recklessly.

This woman, Angel Adams, this spoiled, selfish, entitled brat truly believes she is in the right to demand that you, that I, pay for the decisions, for the choices, that she made in life. And not only that, but she believes it is in the government’s authority to force that money from others and redirect it to her.

After I posted the video on my website, a liberal commented that he believes most other liberals would be just as disgusted with that woman as conservatives are. He added that he is not the same type of liberal as this woman apparently is; he didn’t vote for Obama for handouts and other people’s money, he said; he voted for Obama because of Obama’s handling of student loans and permitting him to stay on his parent’s insurance until the age of 26, or what is known in liberals as the age of the onset of adolescence.

I told him that that’s no different from the woman in the video. The woman in the video wants something from the government, and he wants something from the government. The woman wants me to pay for her children, me to suffer the consequences of her choices, and the young lad, likewise, wants me to pay for his healthcare, wants my money to be redistributed to him and his classmates, me to indulge monetarily so that he can indulge collegially.

There has got to be something worse than worst, because “the worst generation,” the baby boomers, has got nothing on the present one. We are monsters.

Our founding fathers who most of were of Christains decenwrote it as "The Freedom of Religion". What this shows is that True Christians(such as most of the founding fathers were) understand that one cannot force anyone to believe in and accept Christ Jesus as their Lord and Savior(Which Jamie Fox called Obama["Our God and Lord and Savior] at the BET awards); IT IS A PERSONAL CHOICE. So, that's why they put in the right to freedom of religion. Get Godly wisdom Mr. David; Job 11:12, 28:28; 1 Corintians 3:18-19; Proverbs 3:7, 26:12
