Hanahan Middle had an "excellent" rating on its 2011 South Carolina Report Card.
The Lego Robotics Team won first place for teamwork at the 2011-2012 tournament.
Hanahan Middle School is a National Blue Ribbon Lighthouse School, 2011 Palmetto Gold School and a 2011 National Recognized ASCA Model Program award winner.
Sixth grade science teacher Angela Adams was selected as the 2011 Berkley County School District Teacher of the Year.
