Let God Handle The Bad People In Your World (He’s Had Practice)

Ephesians 1:2-5,9,10

Grace to you and peace from God who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing. He chose us before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him.  He predestined us according to the praise of the glory of His grace.  He made known to us the mystery of His will, with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times.

Matthew 5:14-16

You are the light of the world.  A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.  Nor do men light a lamp, and put it under the peck measure, but on the lamp stand; that it gives light to all who are in the house.  Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.

Romans 12:17-21

Never pay back evil for evil to anyone.  Respect what is right in the sight of all men.  If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.  Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.  “But if your enemy is hungry, feed him, and if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap burning coals upon his head.  Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

God has a specific plan for your life. Before the foundation of world, He picked you with a very specific mission and purpose in mind.  God says, “In all that you do, let your light shine.”   In really simple words, that means: “Do your best in all that you endeavor and be kind to the people that God has placed in your world.”    When your light is shining, God is glorified as you warm the moments and illuminate the paths of others.  But what happens when someone comes your way and no matter what you do this person is truly horrible and seems to want to make your life miserable at every turn?  Painful as it may be, what God wants you to do in this circumstance is to continue to let your life shine.  Don’t become discouraged when it appears as though the face of evil has won.  As much as it depends on you, keep saying the kind words, and then turn it over to God. He will seek vengeance, which means that He will handle it in the way it is supposed to be handled. You can never control another person.  All you can do is keep letting your light shine and not become discouraged, because then evil will have triumphed. Take comfort in the fact the Creator of the entire universe has selected you to be His light-shiner, and He will be your champion.
