Marrington Elementary Battle Of Books Rules Another Day

There was a battle at Marrington Elementary this May.  A Battle of the Books, that is.  The Battle of the Books is an annual reading program for fourth and fifth graders.  From September to April, students read a total of ten books in order to participate in a team competition in which students answered questions about the books they read.  This year, Marrington had four teams of students compete: Team Bacon, Team Hawks, Team Da Crew, and Team Hot ‘N Spicy.  Teams Da Crew and Hot ‘N Spicy moved on to the final round where Team Hot ‘N Spicy proved its broad knowledge of this year’s titles.  The members of the winning team, Hot ‘N Spicy, were Brendon Edwards (team captain), Emma Zaleski, and Julia Carpenter.
