Elizabeth Anne Hanson Jackson (Anne), age 78, of Hanahan SC, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Roper St. Francis Hospital.
Elizabeth Anne Hanson Jackson (Anne), age 78, of Hanahan SC, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Roper St. Francis Hospital. She was born in Monroe GA on September 14, 1934 to the late James Hanson and Mattie Lean Hanson. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed bowling, golfing and reading. She retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard in 1989 after 33 years of service, where she was employed as a Personnel Staffing Specialist. She was a member of North Charleston United Methodist Church (Anita Way Circle).
Mrs. Jackson is survived by her daughter: Donna Johnson (Gary) of Daniel Island SC; son: Kenneth E. Jackson of Ashville NC; grandchildren: Nicholas Johnson of Hanahan SC, and Heather Johnson of West Ashley SC; great grandchild: Avery Louise Weld of West Ashley SC. She was preceded in death by her husband: Eugene G. Jackson.
Funeral services was held 12:00 Noon PM on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston SC, 29406. Entombment will follow in Carolina Memorial Mausoleum. The family received friends on Tuesday, July 9 2013 from 11:00 AM until the hour of service at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in honor of Mrs. Anne Jackson to North Charleston United Methodist Church, 1125 E Montague Ave North Charleston, SC 29405.
