Obituary: Gregory Allen Satterfield

Gregory Allen Satterfield, 34, of Moncks Corner, went to be with his Lord on August 3, 2013.

Born in Charleston, on December 4, 1978, he was the son of Steven and Debra Cox Satterfield and husband to Melissa Satterfield.  He worked as the store manager for O’Reilly Auto Parts in Goose Creek.  Greg enjoyed biking, photography, adventure and tinkering with cars.  His greatest joy was traveling and spending time with his family, especially his wife and daughter.  

He is survived by his wife of seven years, Melissa Satterfield; daughter, Ansley Lane Satterfield; parents, Steven and Debra Satterfield of Moncks Corner; brother, Jeremy Satterfield and wife Amber of Moncks Corner; paternal grandmother, Marlene Satterfield of Hanahan; maternal grandparents, Curtis E. and Melrose Cox of Ladson; nephew and niece, Matthew and Madelyn Satterfield; mother-in-law, Sandra Slatten of Goose Creek; sister-in-law, Melanie Bareiss and husband Daniel of Clifton Park, NY.  Greg is also survived by his dog, Aslan.  He was predeceased by his grandfather, Fred L. Satterfield.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in Peace Presbyterian Church, Goose Creek.  Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Gardens, North Charleston.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 7, 2013 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. in McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek Chapel.
