Obituary: Laura 'Tina' Christina Nettles-Shelters

Laura "Tina" Christina Nettles- Shelters, 43, of Goose Creek, SC, wife of ShawnShelters entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 2, 2013 after a courageous battle against cancer. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Laura Nettles- Shelters are invited to attend her funeral services on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at four o'clock p.m. at CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from two until four p.m.

Laura was born October 6, 1969 in Charleston, SC to Jackie A. Nettles and Margaret " Ann " Lyons Nettles. Laura "Tina" spent her lifetime around and involved with horses, teaching other people and young girls how to enjoy and respect them. Some of Tina's best accomplishments were with the Girl Scouts at the Camp Low Country in Huger, SC teaching young ladies and girls about Horsemanship where she left, very proud of all of her girls. She is loved and will be missed by many.

She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Shawn Shelters, a daughter: Samantha LeeAnn Shelters both of Goose Creek , parents: Jackie A. Nettles and Margaret "Ann" Nettles of Goose Creek , father and mother in law; Dennis and Donna Shelters of North Charleston, sister; Lyn Flournoy of Goose Creek, brother in law; David Sheltersof Bangkok, sister in law; Kim Shelters of Summerville, sister/friend; Jodar Steel of Goose Creek.
