Obituary: Ruby S. Chinners

Ruby S. Chinners, 91, of Hanahan, SC entered into eternal rest Tuesday, June 25, 2013. A graveside service will be held Friday, June 28, 2013 in the Whispering Pines Memorial Gardens, Old Hwy 52 at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 27, 2013 between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road.

Ruby was born October 25, 1921 in the New Hope Community, SC, daughter of Clarence and Fannie Elizabeth Smith. She was a 1940 graduate of Berkeley High School and a member of Yeamans Park Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed shopping with her two dear friends Jackie Murray and Gail Swindal. Ruby enjoyed gardening and especially her roses. Time spent with family and grandchildren was important to her.

She is survived by her daughter, Catherine "Cathy" C. Wade, two sons, Thomas "Tommy" Chinners, Richard Chinners and his wife Barbara of the Pimlico Community, Moncks Corner, SC; grandchildren: Lee Chinners of Huger, SC, Beth Mizzell of Raleigh, NC, Angela Marsh and her husband David, Carrie Chinners, Chad Chinnersall of Moncks Corner, SC, Seth Chinners of Goose Creek, SC, Starla Echague and her husband Vic and Danny Chinners all of Moncks Corner, SC; eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland M. Chinners, son Leland M. Chinners, Jr., daughter in law Karen B Chinnersand son in law Robert Paul Wade.
