Phony "Negotiations"

I keep hearing Obama, Reid, et al saying, "The Radical Tea Party jihadists need to be reasonable & restart the government.  They should not be so radical and should compromise."  That is always followed by a statement that ObamaCare is not negotiable because it's a law.
Why is it acceptable for Obama and his fellow socialists to refuse to negotiate on any given subject and in the same breath call the republicans jihadists for refusing to give him everything he wants without any conditions? Is it because the ACA is a law?  So were the laws creating prohibition and slavery and thousands of others.  If a law is not negotiable, how was slavery and prohibition eliminated?  Come on America, bring your head back into the sunshine.
