Blotter: An Errant Arrow

The following information was supplied by the City of Goose Creek Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Woodland Lakes resident was watching TV on the afternoon of July 7 when he heard what sounded like a rock hit the back of the house. He opened his back door to find an arrow lodged in the door frame. A nearby neighbor was putting in a little practice with his compound bow and the arrow missed the target — a lot. The bow owner agreed to pay for the repairs.

In case you are looking for them, a woman found two statues July 7 in the bushes behind A to Z Check Cashing on S. Goose Creek Boulevard. One was sculpture of a bald eagle with the right wing broken and the other was of a cobra. While that discription is pretty generic, we're pretty sure there aren't two readers missing those statues.

Last weekend, an unknown person wrote the word "watching" on the road in front of a Pineview woman's home with an arrow pointing toward the house. If the goal was to get the police to keep an eye out for futher mischief: mission accomplished.
