Fatal Shooting: Moncks Corner Man Dies from Injuries

Jerrett Garnett of Moncks Corner died nearly two weeks after he was fatally shot on Old Whitesville Road.

A Moncks Corner man died Wednesday as a result of a Dec. 21 shooting incident, according to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury.

The death of 34-year-old Jerrett Garnett has been classified a homicide, according to the coroner.

The shooting occurred at Old Whitesville Road in Moncks Corner. Garnett was transported to MUSC where he died nearly two weeks later.

The incident is being investigated by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.
