Arthur Prioleau charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor 3rd degree.

A Goose Creek High employee has been charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor 3rd degree after he allegedly inappropriately touched a 16-year-old girl.

Arthur Prioleau is an employee at Goose Creek High and has been placed on administrative leave, according to the school district. The district confirmed Prioleau is a in-school suspension assistant at the high school. He was arrested by Berkeley County Sheriff's Office Wednesday.

Prioleau remains at Berkeley County Detention Center but received a $50,000 bond in a hearing.

The district released this statement:

"Berkeley County School District holds our employees to the highest level of professional excellence.  As soon as the district learned of the charge and alleged incidents and in compliance with District policy, the employee was placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.   Please note that we may not disclose other specifics about the employee’s employment as investigations regarding personnel matters are protected by privacy rights.  "

Edited 7:55 a.m. Aug. 30 to correct that Prioleau is not a teacher but an employee, according to the school district.
