Ken Gunn . There is no Democrat in that race on the ballot in November. There are no other contested races in county government.

Several first-time candidates were earlier this spring. Marian Redish and Samuel Rivers Jr. collected more than the 786 signatures needed to file as . They're awaiting certification from the State Election Commission.

There are still two S.C. House races on the ballot in November in other parts of the county. Incumbent Democrat Joe Jefferson in District 102 will face a challenge from Republican Allan Weiss. And incumbent Republican Eddy Southard in House District 100 will face a second challenge from Democrat Tonya Aiken-Taylor.
