Bike Safety Celebrated at Marrington Elementary

May is National Bike Safety Month.

Marrington Elementary School P.E. teacher Brandon Beckman collaborated with Safe Routes to Schools to recognize National Bike Safety Month. In recognition of Bike Safety Marrington students rode their bikes or scooters to school on Wednesday, May 15.

Participating students received an illuminating bike safety wristband and also a bookmark from the Safe Routes to School representatives. Parents were encouraged to bike or scoot with their students.  Marrington School Principal Barb Webber and Coach Beckman encouraged all participants to wear helmets and utilize the bike paths. Marrington Elementary is a Berkeley County Public neighborhood school, located on Joint Base Charleston/Naval Weapons Station.
