The Goose Creek Gators' boys basketball team won Friday's Lower State Championship and will go on to play for the State Championship March 1.
The Gators defeated Sumter 57-47.
The State Championship is 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 1, at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia.

The Gators will meet the No. 1 ranked, undefeated Irmo Yellowjackets. Gators are ranked 10th in the state and have lost only four games this season.
