The Stratford High School cross country team finished second at the 4A state meet Saturday in Columbia.
The Knights were led by All-State performances by senior Evan Abdullah (10th place, 16:04), junior Ross Jordan (13th place, 16:18) and senior Sango Asante (14th place, 16:20).
Stratford's score of 76 would have been good enough for a title on many days, but Lexington scored a 34, as five runners finished within the first 23 places.
