Stratford's Robin Boston Wins Art Educator Honor

Art teacher is 2012 Mary Whyte Award Winner.

On August 28, the Berkeley County School District’s Board of Education recognized Stratford High School art teacher Robin Boston, who received the 2012 Mary Whyte Art Educator Award.

Established in 2007, this annual and prestigious award highlights one high school visual art teacher in South Carolina who demonstrates superior commitment to their students and to their craft. The award is accompanied by a cash prize of $2,500 and is administered and presented annually by the Gibbes Museum of Art.

Robin Boston earned her Bachelors of Art from Charleston Southern University and her Masters Degree from the University of South Carolina. She has been teaching at Stratford High School since 1997 and has been the director of Berkeley County Summer Gifted and Talented High School Program since 1991.
