Wrestlers Stand Out in Lowcountry

Summerville, Stratford have wrestlers ranked No. 1 for their weight class.

A number of grapplers in the Charleston area rank No. 1 for their weightclass and some of the high schools are also in the top 20 in the state, according to the Journal Scene.

Here are some of the top-ranked wrestlers in the Charleston area: 

  • No. 1 for weightclass 126: Gavin Perkins, Summerville High
  • No. 1 for weightclass 152: Chad Wood, Summerville High
  • No. 1 for weightclass 132: Nick Young, Stratford High
  • No. 1 for weightclass 182: Noah Shuler, Stratford High
  • No. 2 for weightclass 170: Zack Armstrong, Ashley Ridge High
  • No. 3 for weightclass 106: James Sass, Summerville High
  • No. 3 for weightclass 120: Dakota Dahabi, Wando High
  • No. 3 for weightclass 132: Christian Cuttino, Ashley Ridge High
  • No. 3 for weightclass 138: Daquan Bushka, Fort Dorcheser High
  • No. 3 for weightclass 170: Joseph Hutchinson, Fort Dorchester High
