Friday Football: Goose Creek, Stratford at 5-0

High school football wins for Hanahan and Cane Bay, too.

Final scores from Friday night's games and a quick preview for next week's high school football action.

Goose Creek is 5-0 after a win Friday night in Dutch Fork, but it was one of the toughest games the team has had all season. The final score was 28-17. A win is a win and they all can't be blowouts (remember Summerville last year?).

Next week, the Gators come home to take on visiting Beaufort.

It was a much easier road to 5-0 for Stratford, which continued the winning streak with a 62-0 win over Colleton County (0-5). The Knights are on the road next week to face Summerville.

Cane Bay starts three weeks on the road next week in Colleton County. The game will be televised Thursday night on MyTV Charleston (check your cable listings).

Speaking of holding your own in a new division, Hanahan has gone 4-1 so far in AAA, with a win over Wade Hampton on Friday night. The final score was 49-14.

The Hawks are back in town next week for one of only two home games left this season, facing Orangeburg-Wilkinson.
