Goose Creek, Stratford Players Nominated for 2014 All-American Bowl

Stratford quarterback Jacob Park and Goose Creek tight end Kalan Ritchie are two of 11 players nominated in South Carolina.

Two Goose Creek area football players are among 11 in the state to be nominated to play in the 2014 U.S. Army All-American Bowl, Live 5 News reported.

Goose Creek tight end Kalan Ritchie and Stratford quarterback Jacob Park are the only players from the Lowcountry to be nominated.

Park is considered one of the top pocket passing QB's in the country going into the 2013 season. He led the Knights last year throwing for almost 1,700 yards and 19 touchdowns. He's currently reportedly considering Alabama, Florida St., Virginia Tech, Georgia and Notre Dame. 

Ritchie was a big blocker for the Gators helping to lead the team to an undefeated season in 2012. He also chipped in 6 catches for 79 yards and 3 TD's. He committed to South Carolina last month.
