Local Business to Reward Goose Creek Gators

Gators to receive banquet and rings from Joye Law Firm.

A Charleston law firm announced it will host the Goose Creek Gator football players for a banquet, where they will receive specially made rings — a way to give back after the 11-0 dominating force was stopped by a technicality.

A S.C. High School League decision to disqualify the team for playoffs halted their advancement after it was discovered there was an ineligible player on their roster.

The Joye Law Firm will sponsor a banquet for the Gators at a later date, according to ABC News 4.

The idea was, 'Let's do something for the kids so that their last memory of high school football at Goose Creek is not this negative situation, based on the high school league's ruling. But, something where the community can come back and say we appreciate what you've done," said Ken Harrell, a partner at the firm.
