This Saturday: Your Leg of a 4,000 Mile Journey

Local sailor is completing a cross-country cycling trek and he wants your help.

After more than two months , Jason Lowman will be back home Saturday — and he wants you to take the final leg of the trip with him.

Lowman, a sailor stationed at Joint Base Charleston, took the trip to raise money and awareness for local cancer programs and the Jerry Zucker Ride for Hope. He's raised roughly $40,000 and travelled nearly 4,000 miles.

Jason is expected to be in St. Stephen on Thursday and pull into Mepkin Abbey on Friday. From there, he's inviting everyone to come along for the rest of the trek to Sullivan's Island.
