The Country's Best College Football Stadium?

The answer from a Bleacher Report blogger last week delighted some, angered others.

Want to start a fight, talk college football. Want to start a brawl, talk about college football history. Want to start a war — apparently — talk college football atmosphere and stadiums. A freelance blogger for Bleacher Report posted his ranking of all 124 college football stadiums last week, and the results excited and thrilled many and upset many others. More than 500 comments have been left on the piece. Clemson University's Memorial Stadium, better known as "Death Valley," was given the distinction of the nation's top football stadium by Alex Callos, a Cincinnati native and Ohio State grad. The honor for the orange and purple delighted Tiger fans everywhere, who know how exciting it is to be in Clemson on a fall Saturday afternoon. …

New Book Documents Heated USC-Clemson Rivalry

Two journalists collaborated on "A State of Disunion," an in-depth look at the Clemson-South Carolina rivalry.

Larry Williams was a child of the Clemson-South Carolina football rivalry. Travis Haney happened upon it. But regardless of how the two journalists came to know the the historic series, both are plenty aware of the passion it engenders in the fans of the Palmetto State. Williams, 36, and Haney, 30, have come out with a book "Classic Clashes of the Carolina-Clemson Football Rivalry: A State of Disunion," that delves deep into the rivalry, featuring interviews of former players that made the matchup what it is. For Williams, senior writer at TigerIllustrated.com, and Haney, now a reporter at The Oklahoman in Oklahoma City, the 208-page book was a labor of love.
