Goose Creek Native to Lead Pittsburgh Food Bank
Lowcountry Food Bank's Jermaine Husser is heading north for new position.
Jermaine Husser, executive director of the Lowcountry Food Bank, is leaving the post to lead the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. Husser has managed the LFB since 2005 and he’s been with the nonprofit since 1997. He’ll become the Pennsylvania food bank’s new CEO on Aug. 1. "My family and I are elated to be joining the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank family," Husser said in a statement released by the food bank. "We have enjoyed Pittsburgh's hospitality and hope to repay it by working together with the board, staff, volunteers, elected officials and community to continue to seek innovative ways to end hunger in southwestern Pennsylvania."
