Gunn Wins GOP Primary for County Council Seat

No Democrat has filed in District 3.

Challenger Ken Gunn won the GOP Primary on Tuesday for Berkeley County Council District 3, defeating incumbent Bob Call. In the unofficial results, Gunn had 371 votes and Call had 265. Call Declines Monday Debate

Challenger Ken Gunn will still get a chance to speak with audience.

No debate Monday night. County Councilman Bob Call tells Patch that he will not be attending a proposed debate with GOP primary challenger Ken Gunn. The Berkeley County Republican Party had scheduled the event to give voters an opportunity to weigh the two candidates. But Call said he read about the debate in the newspaper and had already scheduled a meeting with campaign volunteers.  The two candidates are competing in the District 3 GOP Primary on June 12. There is no Democrat on the ballot in November for the seat. Don't miss a headline. Like Goose Creek Patch on Facebook! Berkeley County Republican Party Chair Tim Callanan said Gunn will have a chance to speak to the audience at tonight's public event, and he'll also get to answer …
